This weekend, we stayed in town and, sticking with the art theme, took the kids to the Walker. It was Elliot's first visit. He won't remember a thing, which is probably a good thing as three of the galleries were dedicated to the life's work of a Japanese artist who had a bit of a, shall we say, "Phallic fixation." Coco was undeterred by the "mature" content we encountered. She was obsessed with the talking Dolphin, and dismissed most everything else we saw as either "funny" or "not real." She was right.
We concluded our visit with lunch at the Gallery 8 restaurant, where we agreed we'd come back to see our new Dolphin friend soon. We'll wait until the Japanese exhibit has safely moved on to the next museum.
