These last few weeks have gone so quickly, despite the weather playing tricks on us. We have stayed busy this winter with ECFE, music class, play dates and making it up as we go. I've begun to truly understand the meaning of "they grow up so fast." Elliot has passed the two month mark and is following his sister's big shoes. He is in the 95th percentile for weight (14 lbs) and 80th percentile for height (23 inches.) He is making all kinds of cute baby sounds (oohs, ahhs) and has a huge half grin that starts with his upper lip - a trait his dad says I gave him. Like a lot of babies his age, he's not that interested in tummy time, but Coco keeps him entertained by snuggling up next to him on the floor. He is doing very well and I can't wait to spend more time with them both outside this spring.
While Elliot was making strides in lifting his head, Coco, who's an old hand at that trick, had her first haircut! That is exciting news in our world. She yelled, "Haircut?" to anyone who would listen as she strutted into Kids Hair with such excitement. She wasn't worried a bit and kept a "big girl" look on her face the entire time. It really was a memorable experience for all of us. It was another first in her life and she seemed so proud, so capable and so ... grown-up.
