Baby Farm Animals

Today we saw baby calves at the farm (not the zoo,) although that may be a future blog post. This morning Coco, Elliot and I headed across the road to Mike and Orla's. It's birthing season and two of Mike's heifers gave birth in the last two days. It was perfect timing for us to do something we've been talking about all winter with Coco. She showed absolutely no inhibition, typical toddler behavior, and we urged her to stay close by. And being a typical toddler, staying close by was hard to do. She wanted to get as close to the calves as possible. She kept saying, "I want one. I want a baby cow."

I think in another life, Coco was a farm girl. She is fascinated with the country - (the animals, the dirt, the smells, you name it...) These pictures really represent all the farm has to offer. I especially love the ones of Mike and Coco. I'm not sure who had more fun today.
